2. Keep the committee informed of your results

3. Start planning

The Boys High School Rugby National Championship tournament will include separate competitions for boys’ single high school teams and multiple high school club teams. The competition will consist of three 60-minute matches over the course of three days – beginning on Thursday afternoon, May 19 and concluding on Saturday, May 21.

All matches will be played at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, Ind. The Moose Rugby Grounds features four full-sized, natural grass fields. All three fields are lined specifically for rugby and are considered among the finest rugby-specific, natural grass fields in America.

Teams interested in competing in the tournament are invited to submit an application to the tournament committee.  The application is available now and must be completed through the following link:  https://forms.gle/8QNba5QYhowqKeGx9 The deadline for applications is February 15.

After a thorough selection process based on teams’ applications, the twelve most qualified teams (in each of the two separate competitions: single-school and high school club) will be sent invitations by March 1. In early May, the 24 teams will be seeded based on each team’s performance throughout the spring 2022 season. The eight top-seeded teams in each category will play in two separate competitions for the Single High School and High School Club Championships. The other eight teams will compete in a single Tier II competition – as such, the Tier II competition should include both single-school teams and club teams that draw players from multiple schools.

Definition of HS Club and Single-School Teams

For the BHSRNC Tournament, High School teams consist of players who are enrolled in that school only, regardless of local rules that allow students to play on other high school’s teams. A Club team is defined as a team made up of players from drifferent high schools who play regularly-scheduled matches against other club or high school teams.  Club teams are not “all-star,” “academy” or “select side” teams.  Players on a club team may only play for that club team during that club team’s regular season.  Players on club teams must be registered to that team by April 1, 2022.  Club teams must submit a roster of their registered players to the BHSRNC Committee on April 1, 2022.
