All Americans Get Warm Welcome

The Men’s Collegiate All Americans have enjoyed a warm welcome in Australia.

According to Head Coach Gavin Hickie, the locals in Toowoomba, QLD have been hugely enthusiastic about the game and the fact that not only a touring rugby team is in town, but it’s a team that includes some current and future USA players.

“The reception we’ve got from our hosts has been fantastic,” said Hickie. “We’ve got a lot of media attention, and the message we got from Well Dog, our sponsors, who have been outstanding, has been that this is the first year of many.

“The locals are becoming aware of the fact that we are here. They are stopping us on the street - they know about the game and why we’re here, and they want to be at the game. So it’s been unbelievable positive so far.”

And that's after he had the kangaroo stew for dinner - a dish Hickie described as "surprisingly tasty."

To show what he means, he's a video of a local news report on the team (report starts at 1:30) (if you don't see the video, please refresh the page).
