2015 Boys HS Club Rankings Week 7

Orlando Moves Up. Ken Sasiadek photo.

Last week's rankings were bad - we made several errors in identifying teams and players and as a result the entire effort was substandard. We've done a better job this week.

That said, the upshot of this season so far is that single-school teams have had the upper hand against club teams so far. Top HS club teams, such as Royal Irish, Sierra Foothills, United, Red Mountain, Santa Monica, KC Jr. Blues, Colorado Springs ... all of these teams have been felled by single-school teams. Admittedly, some of the single-school winners have been very highly ranked, but not all, and you'd think the clubs would win one of these.

Performances at the Fullerton Tournament and the Jesuit Showdown colored this week's rankings, with some big movement up and down. The San Diego Young Aztecs got a big boost with their performance. Also moving into the rankings, Aurora did well to beat Colorado Springs. We'll see how that holds. Orlando beat Daytona, who had beaten them earlier in the season. Orlando's winning margin (1) was less that Daytona's (38), so Daytona stays ranked higher, for now. Doylestown moves into the rankings, and we figure Downingtown is not to far behind out of Pa.

Meanwhile, a few teams with more games under their belts and plenty of wins get included.
