It was a busy weekend in women's DII action, with several conferences.

The Tri-State played its second weekend of action, and Vassar, Hofstra, and Rutgers all moved to 2-0. None of these teams was challenged much, and perhaps Vassar had the toughest game. Still the Brewers beat Marist, a team that gave them all sorts of fits last year, by 32 points. There seems to be a massive disparity in strength through the Tri-State, given that Hofstra beat Fordham 94-7 a week ago, and then Fordham beat Drew by over 100 this week.

The dividing line in the Great Waters Conference in the Wisconsin-Michigan-Illinois area seems solid enough, with UW-Whitewater, UW-Eau Claire, and UW Steven's Point firmly in the top hald. Illinois-Chicago and UW-LaCrosse might be there, too.

Further west in Minnesota Bemidji State, Winona, and Mankato looked ferocious, while in the NESC in New England, varsity team Bowdoin flexed its muscles to the tune of 92 over Amherst.
