Life JV Steps In to Face WMU

Mississippi State pulled out of the ACRC Bowl Series this weekend, but Life University’s JV team has stepped in to face Western Michigan.

WMU, which made the final of the MAC playoffs, are led by No. 8 Tom Kacor, who led the Mid-American Conference with nine tries, and wing Anthony Wrona, who finished with six, and boast a goalkicking hooker in Mitch Zieler, boasted a solid defense and physical game plan. They will need it against Life’s JV.

“These are mostly freshmen and sophomores and they were coming to Charlotte anyway to support the Varsity team,” said Life Director of Rugby Dan Payne. “Now they get to play, and it’s great because we need the game for them. We’re excited that we could step in and we know Western Michigan will be a great game.”
