DII Men Brackets Coming Together

The Men’s DII college brackets are shaping up, but there are still a few games to be played to finalize the field for the Round of 16.

Northeast Regional
Kingston, RI (University of Rhode Island)

WIIL v Northeast
Wisconsin-Whitewater galloped through the entire WIIL field to take the #1 seed this past weekend. They play the Rugby Northeast champions, which will be Bentley or UMass-Lowell, who play this coming weekend.

New England v Upstate NY
Vermont has clinched the New England Conference championship and await the winners of the Upstate NY playoffs, which will be decided this coming weekend. The four teams remaining are:  Cortland, Oswego, Buffalo State, and Niagara.

Mid-Atlantic Regional
Harrisonburg, VA (James Madison University)

Cardinals v Tri-State/MARC
James Madison has clinched the Cardinals Conference. They play the winner of the playoff between Fairfield (Tri-State Champions) and the MARC #2 team, Rowan. Those two teams play this weekend at Fairfield.

Potomac #2/Cardinals #2 v Great Lakes
Potomac #2 is Towson, and they play off with Cardinals #2 VMI this weekend. The winner faces Great Lakes champion Grand Valley State.

South Regional
Salisbury, MD (Salisbury University)

Potomac v New England Wide/Colonial Coast
The Potomac Champion is Salisbury. The Sharks face the winner of a playoff between Roger Williams (Colonial Coast Champions) and Central Connecticut (New England Wide Champions) played at Roger Williams this weekend.

MARC v Southern
This is a straight champion v champion bracket. MARC winners Notre Dame will play Southern winners Furman.

Mid-West Regional
St. Louis, MO (Washington University)

Northern Lights vs. Deep South/Rocky Mountain
Minnesota-Duluth has been Northern Lights champion for weeks now. They will await the winner of a playoff between Louisiana Tech and Colorado College.

Gateway v WIIL #2 / Northern Lights #2
St. Louis is the Gateway Champion team. SLU awaits the winner of a game between WIIL runners up UW-Stout, and Northern Lights runners up Northern Iowa. According to seeding, this should be a game played at UNI. However, Stout, should they win, will end up having to play five games in 15 days, and so UNI agreed to travel to Stout to ease the burden.
