ACRC Bowls Taking Shape

One of the big ideas behind the ACRC affiliation of conferences is to set up Bowl Games rather than a championship tournament.

This, say supporters of the idea, makes life easier in that a) the top team is probably known anyway; b) knowing where you’re going means you can plan more in advance; c) it allows conference play to go further into November.

But now it might be nice to know who is playing whom. Here are some of the matchups and some of the other teams involved:

Barring an upset, Army will play Life University for essentially an ACRC championship.

Iona will play Boston College
The SCRC and ACRL will partner up, with the top teams from each conference facing off, and the #2 teams doing the same.

So that will probably mean Clemson, Maryland, Tennessee, and South Carolina will be involved.

The MAC Champion, which is looking to be either Bowling Green or Dayton, will also play

In addition, Michigan, North Texas, Texas State, Kutztown, AIC, Middlebury, Stony Brook, St. Joseph’s, and West Virginia are also all expected to play. The matchups, however, aren’t confirmed.
