Strake, Dallas Jesuit, and Woodlands Win In Texas

Dallas Jesuit and Strake Jesuit move on in their winning ways in Rugby Texas, while the Woodlands also looked strong this weekend.

The Rangers of Dallas Jesuit got two tries from Charlie Freeman and tries from Robert Triantos, Marshal Neri, Brennan Graham, and lock Alex Johnson in a 36-17 defeat of Lake Travis to move to 3-0. It was the Rangers first win over Lake Travis since 2018.

Strake Jesuit also won, beating St. Pius X 31-7. The halfback pairing of Jared Broussard at scrumhalf and flyhalf Liam Garcia ran the attack nicely and each scored a try, while lock Pablo Granados also scored a try and No. 8 Joey Garcia had two in a well-orchestrated league win.

And Woodlands beat shut out Cy Fair 74-0. Senior flanker Fred Garrigos was named Alex Rayton Man of the Match (so named after the former Woodlands player who sadly died far, far too young).
