As mentioned, the USA’s Super Series roster includes more players seeking their first cap than those with senior test experience. Many veterans are concentrated in the forwards, specifically in the pack: Hope Rogers, Sarah Chobot, Katy Augustyn, Stacey Bridges (who locks and flanks), Laura Miller, and Molly Kinsella.

In a few days the USA Women will assemble for their first tests since the 2014 Rugby World Cup. Twenty-six players will head to Alberta, Canada, to face World Cup champion England, runner-up Canada, and 5th place New Zealand during the Super Series (which is essentially the Nations Cup with New Zealand and South Africa swapped).

The 2016 Olympics is finally a reality for the USA Women 7s team, and with that event penciled in the calendar, attention can now be shared with the Eagle 15s team. The upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup is in a three-year cycle, to better align with the Olympics and 7s World Cup, and will be contested in 2017 as opposed to 2018.

In just two-and-a-half weeks (June 27-July 5), four of the top six women's 15s teams will convene in Alberta, Canada. The USA has announced its 26-player roster (read more), and so have reigning Women's World Cup champ England, runner-up Canada, and #5 New Zealand.

Eagle head coach Pete Steinberg has selected a relatively inexperienced squad that will learn the ways of senior international rugby against World Cup finalists England and host Canada, and New Zealand. Below is some more detail on who's making the trip north:
