Dartmouth College center Emily Henrich, already capped by the USA as a freshman, has won the MA Sorensen Award as the top women’s college player of 2018-19.

Henrich, who earned her first USA cap in November against New Zealand, has entered college rugby and not missed a step after being a high school standout for Orchard Park in New York, and with the select touring side Atlantis.

The nominees for the MA Sorensen Award for the top women's college player in the country have been released.

The award is named after groundbreaking William & Mary and USA prop MaryAnne Sorensen, who was a pioneer in the women's game as a player and a coach, and remains a highly-respected doctor. Sorensen has been present at all three Sorensen Award presentations.

Fans can submit their nominations for the 2018-19 MA Sorensen Award for the top women's college rugby player in the country.

The award is given out every year by the Washington Athletic Club of Seattle, Wash., and is named after trailblazing prop and Rugby World Cup winner MA Sorense - who has graciously appeared every year to present the award.
