Arkansas State University rugby player Garrett Soileau died late last week near his hometown of The Woodlands, Teexas in a automobile accident, the university reported.

The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) has just released the NSCRO Women’s Top 20 Fall Rankings.
 
Wayne State College, the 2017 Women’s National Champion leads the ranking. They are followed by Bentley University, York College of Pennsylvania, Gustavus Adolphus College and Colorado College rounding out the top five.

IUPUI, after making a strong run to the national DII playoffs, is making a push on the recruiting side, too.

The Indiana school's leadership is working closely with the Eagle Impact Rugby Academy Midwest program, and several players from that successful EIRA Midwest team are looking to join IUPUI rugby.

The Las Vegas Black Hawks got a nice boost of confidence going into this weekend's game against the touring Cavaliers out of New South Wales.

The Black Hawks won the Boys HS Roadrunner 7s U18 division this past weekend in Arizona, with their U16s taking 3rd in the U16 division.

The Boys High School National Championship committee is pleased to announce a partnership with Hooligan Rugby and Tsunami for their 2018 event.  The tournament will again be held at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, MO on May 17-18-19, 2018.

Sacred Heart, which won the Tri-State Conference in the fall of 2016 and finished 2nd in 2017, is shifting to the New England Wide Conference for the 2017-18 season.

Head Coach Ray Peterson said that the move was precipitated by a desire for more consistent competition, and also travel considerations.

GREENVILLE, SC – The Men's DII semis went as expected in that VMI and Norwich were very. very closely aligned, and UW-Whitewater v North Dakota State a little more one-sided (but just a little).

VMI defeated Norwich University 41-36 in sudden-death, double-overtime Saturday on the campus of Furman University in Greenville, SC.
