HANOVER, N.H. – Men's Collegiate All Americans Head Coach Matt Sherman has named the starting XV for the USA Rugby AIG Men’s Collegiate All-Americans’ first match against Cambridge University Saturday, June 21. Match kickoff is scheduled for 1PM ET at Dartmouth College, whose very own Madison Hughes will captain the team from left wing.

The Utah Lions girls HS team pushed Northern California in the final of the Rocky Mountain Challenge but fell short 24-12.

Still, the Lions showed they are an up-and-coming program in a state where boys rugby has been big for decades.

The Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference has put together a select roster to play the Portland Pigs men's team in an exhibition during the Great Northwest Challenge HS all-star tournament this weekend in Portland, Ore.

The Smokey Mountain Athletic Conference (SMAC) has named its boys all-star team to play in the South Regional All-Star Tournament this weekend in Marietta, Ga.

The Northern California boys all-star program has named its rosters for both Varsity and JV in advance of the Great Northwest Challenge this coming weekend in Portland, Ore.

It is a diverse group, with most of the Varsity team not coming from regional champs Jesuit or Danville. The Varsity is almost entirely made up of juniors, while the JV is all 9th- and 10th-graders.

Having made the final of the Rocky Mountain Challenge and losing to a tough Utah team 17-8, the Heart of America Boys all-star squad has got to feel fairly pleased with their efforts this spring.

Head Coach and former USA prop Tim Kluempers said the performance, including a 3rd-place finish for the JV team, was an indication that the region is getting stronger.

The Ontario Blues have named the squad of players they will use against the Collegiate All Americans Saturday, June 28 at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton, Mass.

With many of the Blues’ internationals tied up with Canada for the month of June, head coach Chris Silverthorn has chosen a mixed side with some younger players as well as some internationals.

The International Rugby Board has confirmed the six men’s and six women’s teams that will participate in the Rugby Sevens competitions at the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games from August 17-20. Nanjing will be the first time that Rugby Sevens has appeared on the Olympic programme and 144 players will participate across the six men’s and six women’s teams with Japan, Fran

Penn State grad BIanca Dalal is off to join the USA 7s Women's team at the Olympic Training Center.

Dalal, a wing, fullback and scrumhalf with the Nittany Lions, was a big part of the Penn State run to a DI title this spring. She also caught the eye of USA 7s Coach Ric Suggitt during the fall 7s campaign.

Six highly-comeptent teams descend on Portland, Ore. for the Great Northwest Challenge Boys All-Star tournament.

The GNC also features a JV Boys, Varsity Girls and JV Girls bracket, making for a total of 19 teams facing off at Delta Park in Oregon's biggest city.

Sacramento seems like a no-brainer for a USA test match simply because of the density of young players and fans in the region.  It’s not just that Jesuit has been at the forefront of boys High School rugby for years. It’s the fact that Sacramento has its own conferences in the single-school, HS club, and silver divisions, and number 24 teams there.

Life University hosts the South Regional All-Star Tournament this weekend, with seven teams in the Boys Varsity Bracket.

With the programs expanding ever into JV and, in the future, middle school select-side rugby, tournament host Dan Payne said that this South RAST may well outgrow Life's rugby facility. But for now, the size it just right.
