For Goff Rugby Report by Erik Saxon - The RCT South was a big, competitive affair from top to bottom. In a few cases the difference of one solitary try over several matches meant the difference for a team fighting for a 1st or 5th place finish over the course of the three day event.
The 7th Annual NorCal Girls Rugby Kick-Off Festival was just as much of a success as NorCal Girls Rugby Chairman Karen Chance had hoped for. The same four teams that competed in the first middle school girls’ league will also be playing in the 32nd annual Kickoff Tournament.
Quietly, for the last five plus year, middle school rugby has been blooming in pockets throughout the South. Around Atlanta, Charlotte, the Raleigh/ Durham area, Richmond and other Virginia cities, and across Tennessee there are middle school rugby football clubs that all have multiple seasons under their belts. The explosive growth at the under high school level is not flying under the radar
