There's little to figure out in the South Independent Rugby Conference with two weekends of competition left.

Eight teams play this coming weekend, with Florida International at Central Florida, and Florida State at South Florida in the SIRC South, and Georgia Southern at Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State at Memphis in the SIRC North.

FIU has already clinched 1st in the SIRC South and a place in the semifinals, and Central Florida, thanks to two victories in a row, now sits at 3-2 and has clinched 2nd in the division. In the SIRC North, the semifinalists are also set, with Middle Tennessee State and Georgia Southern both undefeated at 5-0 and 4-0, respectively. GSU is expected to beat winless Georgia Tech this weekend, and then it's GSU v MTSU next week for the #1 seed.

MTSU Head Coach Jody Hensley said that whether his squad plays Florida International or Central Florida means nothing unless they can raise their game.

"At this point we have to prove that we belong with teams like UCF and FIU," said Hensley. "We have not faced teams like them yet so we have a lot of work to do in order to play on their level. If we maintain the our current standing in the conference it is likely we will face UCF in the first round of the conference championship. As everyone one knows that will not be an easy task but if we play like we are capable of playing I'm confident we can do well. We are getting better at holding our defensive structure. We really had problems with structure early in the year but the players are seeing that the system works if we hold our shape and trust the structure to get everyone in the right place at the right time."
