It's rematch time as BYU hosts Central Washington in a clash of one former and one current Varsity Cup team.

The Cougars and the Wildcats met up already this spring, with BYU winning 46-24 on March 18 in Ellensburg, Wash. BYU didn't have all of their top players on the trip, but it was a pretty strong outfit. BYU ran out to an early lead and then CWU inched their way closer, thanks in part to the work of some impact subs.

"A great opportunity to measure ourselves against what I believe is the best collegiate team in the country," CWU Head Coach Todd Thornley said.  "Last time out we got a very big dose of reality and that hurt us both individually and collectively as we simply did not execute under pressure. I'm excited to see how we respond, playing in Provo is a great challenge for our program."

BYU is coming off a 41-39 loss to the Glendale Raptors club. In that game, they got two tries from Tua Laei, who is fast becoming the go-to scorer for the Cougars, and two tries thanks to their very effective maul. Meanwhile, Central Washington was also in a two-point game, bating University of Victoria 31-29 in Victoria, BC.

Jeremy Lenaerts, Sincliar Clinton, Simi Ratukalou, Vili Toluta'u, and Larry Peneueta scored tries in that game.

"We have had a great few days of practice after a good win last week," Thornley said. "I expect a much more clinical performance from our student-athletes. We know we must execute on both sides of the ball to have a shot at winning this game, the belief is there which is huge however only complete 80-minute performance will be sufficient against a powerhouse like BYU."

The game is slated for a 7pm Mountain Time kickoff in Provo, Utah. (6pm Pacific).

The game will be live-streamed on YouTube. Check back with GRR for the link.
