Norwich University won the Chris Munn 7s this past weekend, edging the always-tough Middlebury 19-17 in the final.

This was a heavily-Vermont-area tournament, with Norwich fielding four teams, Vermont and Middlebury two, and Dartmouth also participating.

In the B-side bracket, Middlebury B defeated Norwich B 29-15 to win the cup.

In the A-side bracket, Norwich got some excellent work from Nate Rolling, a former Highland HS standout out of Utah, and also from flyhalf Keegan Frick.

No games were a runaway, with three of the six games played within a try. Rolling scored three tries in Norwich’s 29-12 defeat of Dartmouth, and scored the game-winner in the final match against Middlebury, with time expired, to seal it 19-17.
