As usual it's a bit of a hedge maze to navigate the US DI college, but we've still got to navigate it.

Right now we have 70 teams in D1A, the most ever. They are split into the following conferences (or not conferences). We've got some links to more detailed articles if you want them.

It was a bit of a soft opening for DII men's college teams Labor Day Weekend, but some teams have already kicked off.

Missouri S&T was really strong two years ago in the Gateway, and made a statement a week ago with a big victory over Principia. The Miners were tough and physical and that saw them through.

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Queens University of Charlotte men’s and women’s rugby teams opened there inaugural seasons over the weekend with a pair of wins. The men defeated Furman’s B squad by a score of 63-13 while the women defeated Elon, 94-0.

In a entertaining and rainy day of rugby the UMW Futures side beat Christendom College 36-19 and the UMW first side ran out a 63-5 decision over the Griffins u23 side from NoVA.

IUPUI opened its season this past weekend with an impressive 35-0 defeat of Ball State, and the program is looking for some big things this year.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte announced the addition of men’s and women’s rugby last spring and very soon after announced Katie Wurst as director of rugby and head women’s rugby coach.

Out of relative obscurity, Jesse Capriotti has emerged as a true 7s talent.

The Doylestown HS back was somewhat overshadowed this year by Mike Weir and Brian Stella, but he blossomed at the NAI 7s this month.

The Tri-State Conference kicks off in two weeks and we could once again see a new champion. 

Two years ago RPI tok the conference, and while the Engineers made the playoffs this year, they weren't as strong and didn't quite pull off the repeat. Last fall, Sacred Heart rolled to a conference title, but, as with many teams, they have had to deal with some turnover.

The University of Vermont is still looking for games. 

It was a tough off-season for UVM, as the rest of the NECRC moved to other conferences. In the end, what had been perhaps the most competitive conference in the nation, top to bottom, with Norwich, Rhode Island, Middlebury, and New Hampshire, as well as Vermont, battling it out every week.

Former Dartmouth Head Coach Gavin Hickie is now on the job at Navy, and the new USNA Men's Rugby Head Coach said there is no magic formula for winning.

Clemson University Head Rugby Coach Steve Lynch announced today that Mickey Bateman has been hired as an Assistant Coach for Clemson University Men’s Rugby Program.  Bateman comes to Clemson from Lindenwood University, where he was a four-year starter, two-time 7s National Champion, National MVP and multi-year 7s and 15s All-American.

USA Rugby bestowed a much-agreed-with honor this past weekend when it named the Club 7s Championships trophy after Emil Signes.

With the NAI 7s done, the 2017 North American HS 7s Series is done, with Eagle Impact Rugby Academy and Atlantis taking the Boys and Girls series titles, respectively.

The US Military Academy officers, coaches, and players at West Point got a special visitor this past spring when New Zealand All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen and Mental Skills Coach Gilbert Enoka visited the rugby program and instructors.

Two big games happen in North America today as pro club Saracens takes on the USA Islanders, and the Liberty Conference All-Stars face the a Republic of Texas U23 team.

In the final sevens tournament in the Mid-Atlantic Region the Maryland Exiles finally got the result they have been looking for against North Bay winning 27-14 in the final.  North Bay has been the top team in summer sevens this year with Head Coach Marty Maurice leading his team to first place finishes at Cowpie Sevens, Philly Cheese Steak Sevens and Splash Sevens.
