Late October is a serious time in Men's DII College Rugby as some conference playoffs start, and other conferences are coming down to the final weekends.

Norwich has already clinched the NECRC, so the Cadets game against Vermont should just be a warmup - albeit an important warmup - for the national playoffs. It's expected that the NECRC #2 will play in the 1st round of the national playoffs, and Vermont, which has clinched 2nd, wants to ensure they're ready.

The Gateway enters its playoffs with four pretty evenly-matched teams in a two-game weekend. In the MARC, Bloomsburg has a tough game against Rowan, which could mean that the winner of Scranton v Drexel gets the final MARC playoff position - joining IUP, Rowan, and York who have already clinched.

In the New England Wide, it's all about Coast Guard v Hartford. That game will decide who wins the conference, and serves as a playoff game of sorts, because we don't expect the NEWCRC to get another slot. The Northern Lights playoffs begin, and so too do the Southern Conference knockout rounds - UNCW Over Coastal - Southern Playoffs Set - and the WIIL quarterfinals. The Gateway and Rocky Mountain conferences have their final four on Saturday and Sunday

And in Rugby Northeast, there's still an almighty battle for that top spot  - Bentley, Providence, SoConn Battle in RNE
