Gamebreakers DIA College This Week

Matt Meehan for Army against Queens. Walter Schmidlin.

Here's a look at some of the top performers this week in DIA rugby.

Matt Meehan, Army

The West Point hooker led from the front and led his team to wins over Queens University and Life University this week.

Jack Wendling, Central Washington

Posing a huge offensive threat and playing excellent defense and being strong over the ball, the CWU center covers just about all the bases and was a huge part of Central Washington almost beating Saint Mary's.

Emanuel Lai, Santa Clara

The Broncos scrumhalf was an effective kicker, and set the tempo for Santa Clara as they held off San Diego State.

Erich Storti, Saint Mary's

Storti had a hand in three tries as Saint Mary's came back to beat Central Washington.

Sam Golla, Cal

Playing second row for the Bears, Golla led from the front all day against UCLA, scoring the opening try and putting the work in on defense and in the breakdowns as Cal beat the Bruins.

Zach Barker, Arizona

The Wildcat hooker scored two tries and was active throughout as Arizona beat Texas A&M.

Elliott Kay, San Diego State

The SDSU scrumhalf scored two tries and put his side in excellent position to win in a game where they ultimately fell to Santa Clara by a point.

Bradley Crane, Life University

The Running Eagle flyhalf was outstanding with his goalkicking and kicking from the hand yet again as Life beat Davenport.

Shiven Dukhande, Lindenwood

The Lions fullback played a huge defensive game, scored a try, and helped control field position in a 17-5 win over Arkansas State with his effective and well-executed kicking.

Tayson Hammer, BYU

Playing flyhalf this week Hammer scored a try and kicked five conversions as he led an attack that scored 57 on Utah.
