As the D1AA playoffs and conference finals are upon us, here’s a look at standouts from the past couple of weeks.

BC Points-Scorers

Usually we list just one player, maybe two. This time we've got three. Two sophomore wings, Pat McMahon and Alejo Pisoni, scored two tries each in BC's Liberty Conference final win over UMass. Helping the Eagles along was sophomore flyhalf Bobby Voth, who was 5-for-5 on conversions and added two penalty kicks, ensuring BC got full value for every scoring chance.

Desmond Maiava, Western Washington

The Vikings No. 8 was a powerhouse on attacks and on defense as Western defeated Washington and Oregon State.

Luke Keough, Kentucky

The Wildcats center is always physically difficult, especially on defense, and he continues to create or score clutch tries and that's why Kentucky is in the SCRC final.

Hugo Triqueiro, Western Michigan

Triqueiro's brilliant kicking saw the Broncos past Cincinnati and ensured a #2 seed into the MAC playoffs.

Luke Mathis, Tennessee

Forcing turnovers and scoring saw Mathis, playing center, lead the Vols to the SCRC final.

George Condra, North Carolina

The UNC flyhalf ran the attack nicely and showed plenty of poise as the Tarheels defeated UNC Charlotte.

Ben Hondros, Virginia Tech

In the MARC final win over West Chester, the Hokies fullback scored three tries.

Dag Dowuona, Sam Houston State

In SHSU's victory over Florida State, Dowuona scored two key tries.

Derek Tang, UMass

The Minutemen captain was a lockdown player on defense as he led his team in a Liberty semifinal win.

Phil Tracey, Bowling Green

Tracey helped BGSU ensure the #1 seed into the MAC playoffs with three tries in a win over Louisville.

Bau Molinari, Maryland

The Terps flyhalf ran the attack and controlled field position for Maryland as they beat Princeton to take 3rd in the MARC.
