The top teams from Day One in the Men's DI College 7s Championships did what was expected.

As GRR predicted, Arkansas was unable to hold onto their pool lead as the Razorbacks lost to Ohio State and Florida International defeated Santa Clara, making three teams at 2-1 in Pool C. Arkansas fell to third thanks to points difference. Saint Mary's beat Bowling Green 31-5. Aaron Matthews and Dylan Audsley scored two tries apiece. Grand Canyon lost to Lindenwood but hung on at 1-1-1 for 2nd in Pool B. Nick Feakes scored two tries in that game for Lindenwood.

And Davenport secured Pool D over Utah 22-12. Dominique Bailey scored twice, and Noah Zomberg and Mike Lau touched down once each. Utah scored twice in the second half, but it wasn't enough.

So on to the quarterfinals.

Saint Mary's handled Grand Canyon 36-5 behind three first-half tries from Dylan Audsley.

Davenport had all sorts of trouble with FIU. Thomas Cheslk and Brady Gent scored in the first half and then the Panthers held on 12-7.

Utah bounced back from the loss to Davenport and beat Ohio State 15-5. Chad Gough, Robinson Salazar, and Brady Jackson scored for the Utes.

And Lindenwood looked like they were in total control with a 42-0 shutout of Bowling Green. Feakes scored two., but it was a total team effort to control the game over such a strong team as BGSU.

On Sunday, Saint Mary's plays Davenport, and Lindenwood takes on Utah in the semis.
