The Air Force Academy opened its West DIA account with a 55-30 defeat of Wyoming Saturday.

Led by a player-of-the-game effort by loosehead prop McCord Thorley, and with co-captains Matt Fischer and Ben Burmester running pattern at flyhalf and inside center, the Zoomies are beginning to click.

“Theu are growing into the game,” Head Coach Denny Meredith said of his captains. “They are starting to see things on the pitch and host to adjust to them, not just as individuals, but as a team.”

Meredith said Wyoming pushed them all day long.

“It was a good learning day for us,” said Meredith. “The players are getting used to the system. The players are making decisions - now we need to make sure those decisions are good decisions.”
